For this collection, I was thinking about the passage of time, and looking at it as this relentless march and wondering where it's going. I tried to express this intense heat and passion that gradually faded into this pristine cool...There's so much worry about how the "end of the world" will come, so that made me think - does it make a difference? won't the earth restore itself, even if that means without mankind? etc. I also tried to play upon the duality between order and chaos here, with both the hair and the motif of chiffon ruffles - as this incredibly girly, conservative, static Victorian trim but also as representing something torn apart.



Just uploading as one collection shot instead of individual looks for now because looking at individual looks is a pain anyway. I'll save you guys the trouble.

Materials/Look details
Most of these dresses are of a silk jersey, and most of the "ruffles" are of chiffon or similar materials such as tulle.

I'll just give details on some parts that might be confusing, the rest should be self-evident, but let me know if you have questions.

2: Ruffle & torso overlay are both chiffon here

3: Neck cowl is a very very light knit; skirt is a bell-shaped boucle skirt (a heavy fabric for spring, but the silhouette is off the body so you won't get too hot); shirt is actually a one-piece of standard swimsuit material (goretex? spandex? nylon?) with chiffon ruffles

4. Swimsuit, white = cutaway on the sides (that's her skin you're seeing); the orange is cut pieces of ombre chiffon sewn onto the suit at the top.

5. Ruffles here are cotton with a bit of silk or jersey mixed in to give it some shine (is this even possible? I have no idea)

6. Silver parts are satin strips.

7. Skirt with strap over a shirt

9. Raincoat! (over silk jersey purple skirt, with chiffon ruffles of course). Top is patent leather (so she's obviously a sex shop worker), main is vinyl segments (think a standard seethrough or transparent raincoat, the really shiny kind - that's what this is made from)

11. The chiffon trails down her back are just blown back by the apparent wind here; if she were to stay still they would lie down on her back. If you're confused, let me know, I might make a diagram.

12. Silver strips are swarovski crystals.
